How to survive a concert.

A screamo concert, how to avoid the mosh pit
If you're new to concerts it can be rough on your first time, but it all depends on the venue and type of music. If you're going to a metal concert or post hardcore or basically anything with screamo in it, there is most likely to be a mosh pit. If would be your first time at a concert it wouldn't be safe to get involved in the moshing. The safest place would be all the way in the back, (As long as there are no mosh pits behind you) or in the front. NEVER go into the middle, I REPEAT, NEVER GO INTO THE MIDDLE. There is most likely to be a mosh pit there.

Some of these rules may or may not apply if you're going to be seeing a soft type of music band. Our suggestion is to read everything just so you know a bit about concerts in general. Most of this tips below will help for any type of music concert.

An outside concert?:
Outside concerts such as "Vans Warped Tour", and festivals can be a lot harder then inside concerts. But I think maybe it would depend on the weather, If you live somewhere in Alabama, Florida, Texas, or basically anywhere that the sun hits the hardest, you'll be doomed. But don't worry, don't cry, keep hydrated, and you'll be fine! (Okay, okay, even I know that was a bit lame)

If you'll be outside the entire day then it is very important to drink lots of water, or Gatorade. When I go to outside concerts I drink about 3 bottles of water a day A WEEK before the concert so I can keep hydrated the entire way through. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah I know what you're going to say "I'll pee!" or "That's lame! I'm a trooper I don't need water!" but silly, silly you. NOBODY wants to be checked by paramedics every ten minutes, trust me it isn't fun. So keep hydrated to survive.

Another very important thing is Sunscreen. The one with the most SPF is the best, especially since it will be so hot you'll probably be showing a lot of leg and arm, it will be best to use it. And if you are going to wear makeup, go easy, sweat proof, and no foundation. It will melt off.

What are some important things to bring to an outside concert?:
  1. Sunscreen SPF 100 (You'll get a sunburn if not, and that is not fun)
  2. WATER, WATER, WATERRR!!! (KEEP HYDRATED TO HAVE FUN)
  3. Snacks. (Food isn't cheap anywhere. ESPECIALLY at concerts and festivals.)
  4. First aid kit (if they will be mosh pits, and if you want to get into them you could get hurt, and nobody wants that)
  5. MONEY. (Merchandise anyone?)
  6. Camera (Don't you want to capture some memories?)
  7. Charmin on the go paper seat covers (You'll need these depending on the venue, EW, 2 WORDS: PORTA POTTYS.)
  8. Hand sanitizer (NO SINKS AFTER PORTA POTTYS! ;~; <--Crying face)
  9. Ear Plugs. (Sounds lame, I KNOW THIS, but you don't want to go deaf. You can actually hear better with them. Re-search it.)
  10. Poncho (Weather permitting)
  11. And last but not least: A change of clothes. (If you get too sweaty, or if it rains.)

What do I bring to an inside concert?:
  1. WATER. (It isn't cheap at any concert.)
  2. Snacks. (Also not cheap at concerts.)
  3. Camera (To capture memories.)
  4. Money (Merchandise!)
  5. Charmin on the go paper seat covers(All bathrooms are gross. Especially the ones you share with random strangers)
  6. Ear Plugs (Sounds lame, I KNOW THIS, but you don't want to go deaf. You can actually hear better with them. Re-search it.)
  7.  Change of clothes for after. (General admission concerts can get sweaty and gross. And no one wants to be sweaty and gross through the entire ride home.)
